Louisa Fielding – LLB, CTMA

Louisa began her career working in trade marks after completing a law degree at Bristol and the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law. She started out in a specialist patent and trade mark firm and after her initial training she made an exciting move to a law firm in the Cayman Islands to work in the IP department.
After two years of Caribbean living Louisa returned to London and joined a city law firm with a newly established trade mark department within the IP team, where she worked for nine years gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Louisa advises on all aspects of brand protection and enforcement in the UK and Europe as well as managing global trade mark portfolios spanning a number of different commercial sectors.
Louisa’s work covers portfolio reviews, advising on filing strategies including clearance searches, filings, prosecution and maintenance of marks, advising on trade mark law as well as domain name issues and design rights; negotiating commercial co-existence agreements.
Over her career Louisa has dealt with a broad range of clients, in a wide variety of industries such as hotels, finance, entertainment, pharmaceuticals, furniture and clothing.
Louisa is a consultant to London IP.
